On today’s negotiation round in political field, we faced the unwillingness of Ukraine to declassify its position on a political settlement.
“We welcome the formal unblocking of activities on the political track, but we still do not have an understanding whether the Ukrainian side intends to really work and not again look for reasons for sabotage. Kiev does not need to send its confidential positions to the OSCE, which only hinders a positive result, but to start an open discussion with us on the Roadmap, since this document is the main point for discussion in the political group" - said Natalia Nikonorova.
At the same time, to the direct, absolutely unambiguous and expedient question of the Plenipotentiary about when Ukraine will send its responses to the draft Roadmap, Mr. Reznikov could not answer at least in any intelligible and specific way, but instead fell into lengthy and pointless reasoning, having nothing to do with the question asked to him.
“Unfortunately, we have to state that although the activities of the political group were formally resumed after a five-month blocking, there are still no prerequisites to call this activity constructive, since Ukrainian representatives are more interested in doing sophistry than in substantively fulfilling their obligations under the agreements reached in Minsk” – the DPR Plenipotentiary concluded.
