On November 1-4, the 13th Assembly of the Russian World was held in Yaroslavl. This event, which is held annually and is the largest in the activities of the Russian World Foundation, was attended by Natalia Mikhailova, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
The opening ceremony of the Assembly took place on November 2 at Russian State Academic Drama Theater named after F. Volkov. The head of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Education and Science, chairman of the Russian World Foundation Vyacheslav Nikonov opened the Assembly after reading out greetings to the participants and guests of the event from President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.
In the framework of the XIII Assembly of the Russian World, a panel discussion was held on the topic “The Space of Memory and Glory of the Russian World”, and 6 discussion platforms took place. Natalia Mikhailova took part in one of them: “Russian civilization is a community of cultures and religions.”
We would like to note that in 2019, the guests of the Assembly were delegates from 70 countries of the world. Among them - representatives of the Russian authorities and public figures, teachers of the Russian language, people of culture and art, scientists - all those who consider themselves to be members of Russian culture, represent it and uphold its values outside of Russia.
